Wendy Rose-Hyatt, D.D.S.
Not too many people know what they want to do for a living at the age of 12. But Dr. Wendy Rose-Hyatt knew. She wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and become a dentist. Her father, Edward Rose, founded Rosedale dental in 1967. It was through her father that Dr. Rose-Hyatt acquired a love for dentistry.
Dr. Rose-Hyatt attended dental school in her home state of Maryland, earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland and began practicing dentistry in 1989 under her father’s watch. Some of the patients she treats today were patients of her father! Dr. Rose-Hyatt is proud to continue the tradition of quality care from generation to generation in the greater Baltimore, White Marsh, and Bel Air areas.
Dr. Rose-Hyatt has spread her love of dentistry around the world, embarking on a pair of medical missions to the country of Belize in Central America. She also makes time to give back to the community in which she serves by providing numerous hours of charitable work in the greater Rosedale area.
In her spare time, Dr. Rose-Hyatt and her husband are active boaters and ride motorcycles. She also has a passion for yoga.
Mark Lustman, D.D.S.
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Lustman practices comprehensive dentistry with interests in the areas of esthetics, implantology and temporomandibular disorders (TMD).Dr. Lustman earned his D.D.S. from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1972 and served in the Dental Corps. of the United States Navy following graduation. Continuing education has been an important part of Dr. Lustman’s distinguished career, having completed extensive post graduate courses in all areas of general dentistry.
His commitment to excellence through education is also reflected in his work as teacher, lecturer and co-author. Dr. Lustman is a member of numerous professional societies: including American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, Greater Maryland TMD Study Club and Maryland Implant Study Club.
Lawrence Amsterdam, D.M.D.
With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Lawrence Amsterdam provides comprehensive dental care for the patients at Caring Dental and seeks to alleviate pain and correct aesthetic problems. Dr. Amsterdam’s favorite part of his job is meeting wonderful people and helping them improve their oral and overall health.

Driven by mutual respect and a desire to care for others, Dr. Amsterdam earned a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and natural sciences from Case Western Reserve University in 1974. He earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1978. Dr. Amsterdam also served as Second Lieutenant in the United States Public Health Service.
Dr. Amsterdam is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Jewish National Fund. He also helped establish a dental clinic in Israel at a rehabilitation center for handicapped members of the community.
In his free time, Dr. Amsterdam enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren; golfing, and singing.
Allyson Hyatt, D.D.S.
Dr. Allyson Hyatt began as a dentist at Caring Dental in 2021. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Denver, her Master of Science from the University of Florida, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Choosing to go into dentistry, Dr. Hyatt followed in her grandfather’s and mother’s footsteps. She saw how much they loved making patients love their smile, which inspired her to do the same. Dr. Hyatt loves working with her hands and performing procedures that help people become more confident.
At Caring Dental, Dr. Hyatt enjoys meeting patients that have seen both her grandfather and her mother as their dentist. She also enjoys working alongside her mother, Dr. Wendy Rose-Hyatt, and have her as a mentor. Dr. Hyatt loves providing comprehensive care that allows patients to become happy with their smile and oral health, while also building relationships with them.
When not working, Dr. Hyatt spends her time skiing, going to trivia, cheering on the Ravens and Capitals, completing crossword puzzles, boating with her family, and playing recreational volleyball with friends. She is very interested in the field of forensic dentistry and eventually would love to work in that area.
Harvey Cohen, D.D.S.
Legacy Dentist since 2020
Dr. Cohen practices general dentistry, and also has special interests in esthetics, implantology, and caring for apprehensive patients.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Dr. Cohen earned his D.D.S. degree from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1974. He has served as a clinical instructor at the Maryland Dental School, has lectured for the Essex Community College Physicians Assistant Program, and is a member of the medical staff of Franklin Square Hospital.
Throughout his years of practice, Dr. Cohen has remained committed to professional excellence. In 1995 he was awarded Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), an honor recognized by a “Governor’s Citation” and a Resolution from the Senate of Maryland. Dr. Cohen is a member of numerous organizations including: American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Maryland Implant Study Club, and the Academy of Osseointegration.
